Gabrielle's Life and Writings

Gabrielle Lawson, writer of Fanfiction. I will use this space to keep a journal about my writing, the progress I'm making, stories I'm working on, writer's blocks I'm having, our adoption process and progress and just life in general.

I'm multifaceted and highly educated. I have a BA in History and an MA in Museum Studies. But I couldn't make a living in a museum, so my hobby--computers--became my living. I'm now a charter member Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician. I aspire to be a professional writer and/or poet. I am a Christian and have been living by His grace for the last four years or so, despite the MegaStress and now the GigaStress. He keeps me going, and displays His glory still, in my life.

Now It's Official!

Rob and I are officially engaged! He actually did the official proposing on Sept. 28th after I returned from choir practice. We had an "engagement party", really more of a gathering, at the Renaissance Festival on Oct. 1st. The ring, by the way, is gorgeous! I'd post a picture, but I don't have a good one. With the Clie, it's just too blurry.

We have a website though: here

The date is set for March 4th, the first Saturday after Spring Break starts. Rob is still in college so Spring Break will give us a chance to have a honeymoon. We're going to go to the Czech Republic, of course! Where else? I've told him I can get us there for $1500 (figuring $1000 for the flights and $500 for staying and travelling within the country).

I'm hoping to get a party together in Prague on the last day of the honeymoon so we can celebrate with my Czech and German (and English and Polish, if they want to come) friends.

  • The Honored: No news
  • Purgatory: Yeah, right.

Well that'll teach me not to read your blog for a while. Engaged eh!Congratulations you. You can't get much surer than that ('surer' - is is that a word?). It sounds as if you're really happy. Excellent. Now write back me for pitys sake. Fred.
