Don't know how I'll keep this on the top of the page, but here's one way you can help us raise enough money to bring our child home!

Now, $9,999 is not the whole of it. We're doing what we can to save money, sell things, etc. But the total cost of our adoption is likely to be $40,000 which includes 2 trips to Russia. Can you help us? The cost is the single biggest obstacle prospective adopters have to cross. Even enough people even give just a little, we'll get there. I'll say a prayer for everyone who gives and I'll even post your names if you want me to. We've started our adoption!!!!

We did it. We started. We sent our application to WACAP to be our agency and are using Adoption & Beyond as our home study agency. We are now in the process of filling out a bunch of paperwork. We'll have a class to go to at the end of the month, a home visit a little later, lots of reading along the way and oh, fundraising.

We need help affording adoption so if you're reading this, I would like to ask you to help us. You can donate to us through our adoption website or you can go to Current and do a little shopping. You'll need to click the Start Shopping Now button in the lower left. Then, after you've picked a few things for your shopping cart, you'll be asked which organization you are shopping to help raise funds for:

You can check our webpage for our progress and also the ticker I keep on just about all my webpages. Our goal is $40,000! Yep, that's about what it takes to get a child home from Russia. The two trips there are included in that total. We will also apply for grants and low- or no-interest loans so hopefully we'll get all the money we need by the time we need it.

Please consider helping us out. We have a long way to go and there's a little girl sitting in an orphanage in Russia waiting for us to come and be her mommy and daddy.
